Eastern Massage

Shiatsu (Japanese massage)
and Thai Massage

are holistic methods of treating the body which include assessment, massage, acupressure, and assisted stretching combined with rhythmic, deep breathing. Treatments are both relaxing and energizing, encouraging the body to come to balance by releasing energy & muscular blockages along meridians (or sen lines, in Thai massage). Meridians are the pathways in which energy (chi) flows to connect the interior and exterior of the body.

Acupressure

is finger pressure applied to points on the body, stimulating self-healing and endorphins. The points and meridians are identical to those in acupuncture, but no needles are used. Jin-Shin acupressure is a softer style, gently opening energy channels by holding acu-points with less pressure for a longer time.

Chi Nei Tsang

or "internal organs chi kung",  bodywork focuses on the abdomen to bring awareness and encourage release of toxicity, tension and associated emotional charges that can lead to discomfort and disease.

Reflexology

involves massaging zones of the feet, hands and ears that correspond to the body's vital organs and systems to release toxins and tension, having a healing effect on the entire body.

Reiki

is universal healing energy that is channeled through touch to comfort, support self-healing and relieve pain.

Polarity Therapy

is a way to balance the body's energy field through using acupressure, gentle holding/rocking, and some deeper point pressure along energy lines created by the body's electromagnetic field. Polarity tends to correct imbalances in the energy field to assist the body's self-healing, and prevent problems from manifesting as pain or dysfunction.

Craniosacral Bodywork

is a gentle way to release blockages in the movement of fluid and nerve impulses that go between our brains and the entire spinal system. It can be very helpful in relieving headaches, jaw pain, neck pain, sacral (or low-back) pain, and stabilizing the skull and spine after injury. Like some other, more subtle forms of bodywork, it is powerful enough to help correct imbalances in the body's systems, prior to dysfunction or pain fully manifesting.
